Two Italian titles for Sprayke teams: KTM Protek Elettrosystem and Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami shine at the Italian XCO Championships

Two Italian champion jerseys, two silver medals and two bronze medals. This was the outstanding haul collected by the teams supported by Sprayke at the Italian XCO Championships in Nervesa della Battaglia, one of the most important events on the national mountain bike calendar.

The performances of KTM Protek Elettrosystem and Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami once again confirmed the exceptional level of two teams that continue to be among the leading forces in Italian cross-country racing, developing young talent and consistently competing at the highest level.

For Sprayke, supporting these teams means sharing a philosophy built on passion, preparation and the constant pursuit of performance. Success comes from attention to detail—the same attention every rider brings to the race and every mechanic dedicates to preparing the bike before the start.

KTM Protek Elettrosystem: Fabio Bassignana claims the Italian title

One of the standout performances of the weekend came from KTM Protek Elettrosystem, which delivered another impressive team performance.

The highlight belonged to Fabio Bassignana, who rode a smart and determined race to secure the Italian XCO Championship, earning the prestigious tricolour jersey.

Bassignana’s victory was complemented by an outstanding team performance, with two silver medals and one bronze medal, proving the depth and competitiveness of the entire squad across multiple categories.

These results once again confirm KTM Protek Elettrosystem as one of Italy’s leading mountain bike teams and reward the dedication of the riders, staff and technical partners throughout the season.

Angelica Gatto crowns an unforgettable day for Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami

The Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami Team also enjoyed an unforgettable championship weekend with performances that underline the team’s bright future.

The biggest celebration came thanks to Angelica Gatto, who claimed the Junior Women’s Italian XCO Championship in her very first season in the category.

After staying with the leading group during the opening laps, Gatto launched a decisive attack on the third lap and rode solo to the finish line, securing the Italian title with an outstanding display of strength and confidence.

In the Junior Men’s race, Filippo Cazzaniga added another podium finish by winning an excellent bronze medal after spending the entire race among the front runners.

Strong performances also came from the rest of the team. Samuele Santini finished 10th, securing a place inside the national top ten, while Nicolò Cavalleri crossed the line in 16th after a determined comeback ride.

There was disappointment for Roberto Pinna, who was forced to retire following a crash while fighting for the podium, and for Elia Rial, who recovered from last place after an early fall to finish an impressive 8th in the Under 23 race.

Behind every victory is a team effort

The medals won in Nervesa della Battaglia tell only part of the story.

Behind every Italian title are months of training, careful preparation, technical development and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Success is the result of teamwork involving riders, coaches, mechanics and technical partners, all working together to create the perfect conditions for top-level performance.

This relentless pursuit of excellence is what connects Sprayke with the teams it proudly supports. A clean, perfectly maintained and properly lubricated bicycle means greater reliability, smoother shifting, reduced component wear and consistent performance—even under the toughest race conditions.

That is why Sprayke continues to invest in competitive cycling and young talent, supporting teams that represent both the present and the future of Italian mountain biking.

Eyes set on Europe and the World Championships

The achievements at the Italian Championships are far more than national success.

The performances of Fabio Bassignana, Angelica Gatto and their teammates from KTM Protek Elettrosystem and Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami have strengthened their chances of earning selection for the Italian National Team at the upcoming UEC European Championships and UCI Mountain Bike World Championships.

Sprayke is proud to stand alongside these athletes and teams as they continue their journey toward the biggest international stages.

Congratulations to all the riders, coaches, mechanics and staff of KTM Protek Elettrosystem and Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami for these outstanding achievements. The two tricolour jerseys are the result of passion, dedication and an uncompromising commitment to excellence—values that Sprayke proudly shares every day.
